About Carlie
I love people. I am absolutely, totally obsessed with people. Always have been. I am fascinated by everyone and love listening to people’s hearts. I wish I could meet every person on the planet.
I want to spend the rest of my life helping people discover the joy of being themselves.
Freedom comes when we unapologetically love who we are and bring all of that to the world. I often ask people ‘what’s fun about being you?’ Most people I meet are not even having fun being themselves.
CAREER.
Carlie holds a degree in Psychology and has held senior leadership roles in Government and business across a range of industries. She has co-founded and owned a number of businesses and has worked as a counsellor and coach throughout.
FAMILY.
She will tell you that her biggest achievement is her three teenage daughters and their extended family including 12 nieces and nephews. Their house looks like a constant party and the place everyone goes to connect or when in need. Carlie loves working with teenagers to help them navigate themselves and discover their own unique gifts. She thinks it’s essential that young people are heard, acknowledged, empowered and loved through their growth to adulthood – without judgement.
COMMUNITY.
Carlie has a heart for the homeless. She’s a big believer in stopping for the one. The people that others walk past and try to avoid. You will find her smuggling herself into the detention centres to support the refugees or pretending she’s visiting family in a mental health facility so that she can love on the unloved or even buying hot chips and Coke for the jobless in a skate park. her love for people is palpable.
WRITER/SPEAKER.
As a writer, speaker and policy commentator you’d have to say she’s controversial and disruptive. She has a low tolerance for not practising what you preach.
